Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation

There are more than 200 different types of cancer and over 2 million people living with or beyond cancer in the UK today.  Despite the highly effective treatments and earlier detection there can be many long lasting adverse side effects of both the disease and the treatment.  However, more and more research shows that exercise is hugely beneficial both during and after cancer treatments.  Exercise will promote cardiorespiratory fitness and muscular strength, progress flexibility and an increase in range of motion, improve endocrine, neurological, cognitive and psychosocial aspects, whilst reducing or delaying cancer recurrence. With all of this in mind however, our main objective for each session is to boost positive mood changes and initiate improvements in your quality of life.

Nadya is a fully qualified level 4 Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation specialist. Each client will be prescribed a safe and effective individualised programme, for training either in the comfort of their own home or at their local park.

Clients currently in treatment or just completing treatment will struggle with many side effects, creating a huge barrier to exercise.  Strategies to overcome these barriers will be put into place.
